Dear Mary Jo,

I just received your letter and thank you very much. I'm glad to hear that your waistline is going down. Mine is going down also. I bet you're getting to be a devil - making plaster of paris candy! I hope none of your friends broke any teeth. You be sure to make Dad fix that rabbit pen, because we don't want Baby to run away.

Are you helping Dad with the garden? I'll bet you are. I hear that Nancy has "fallen in love" with Eddie - is that true? How about telling me about your boyfriends? Don't you let Nancy bother Eddie too much!

I've seen several very good movies lately. I saw "Random Harvest," "It Ain't Hay" with Abbott and Costello, and a movie called, "Quiet Please, Murder." They were all very good.

So you don't want me to use too much of the army's paper? Don't worry, because if I use too much paper, they won't do nothing but shoot me! (laugh) Don't worry, sis, I'm going to send you something soon. I'll bet you will think it's better than what I sent to Betty. You just send me whatever you would like me to have for my birthday.

Tell Baby to wash plenty and not to bite Dad, and write to me as soon as you can.

Love,
Jack
