Dear Folks,
Well, the pilots in my squadron are all preparing to move out within the next three days. As yet we aren't sure of our destination. We have completed most of the red tape required and are now confined to our barracks on shipping orders.

Yesterday I was in San Antonio on an open post with Gil Priestley. We saw a show, walked around for a while, and spent the evening at the Simmons'. "Doc" seemed to be rather pleased to see us. We talked about all the old gossip and new gossip we could think of concerning Madisonville. Then Doc and I, Gil and Mary took a walk. The Simmons live in a swell residential section of San Antonio. Their home is really beautiful. I met some of their neighbors and found them quite nice.

Well, that's about all for now, but will scribble some more tomorrow.
