Dear Mother,

Not much to tell tonight. I can say that I've been moved and am now in Ireland. However, I expect to be sent back to England shortly. We have some real weather around here. If an Irishman wakes up in the morning and can see the mountains, he knows that it will rain before the day is done. If he can't see the mountains, he knows that it's raining! Beautiful weather!

Right now the boys are having a mosquito killing contest - at least they look like mosquitos, only about 10 times as big. Earl has the most confirmed victories (dead mosquitos).

Dad, if you want to read some interesting civics of today, read up on the Irish free state and Northern Ireland. It's history in the making.

Must close for tonight. Folks, I'm feeling fine - gained 10 pounds since leaving the states!
