Dear Mother,

Nothing much to say tonight. I'm still in Ireland - still expecting to go to England in the near future. As yet I haven't received any mail since leaving the states. It should start to come through shortly. As soon as we start receiving each other's mail, we will be able to determine the fastest mail service and use that means thereafter.

The food over here certainly must be good for me! I've gained almost 15 pounds since leaving the states. However, that's largely due to the amount of starches we've been eating. We don't get much in the way of fresh vegetables - lots of bread and potatoes. But, I'm certainly feeling "top notch."

I hope that everything is swell with you all at home. Before I forget, keep me posted as much as you can on Ralph. I might possibly run into him or be able to meet him somewhere.
